About Us
Ecological Restoration Coalition (ERC ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the ecological balance. Our mission is to combat the decline of Hawaii’s native flora through active reforestation efforts, community engagement, and education, preserving the ecological balance and cultural legacy of the Hawaiian Islands.
ERC is a division of our Save The Seven Seas, a Wyoming 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Company
With native Hawaiian plants and trees facing unprecedented threats from invasive species, habitat loss, and climate change, our organization emerged as a response to this ecological crisis. Our founders — a diverse group of environmentalists, scientists, and local community members — united with a shared vision: to restore and protect the natural heritage of Hawaii.
Hawaii’s native plants and trees are more than just flora; they are the backbone of the islands’ ecosystems and a living testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Hawaiian people. These species provide essential habitat and food for native wildlife, help maintain the delicate balance of the islands’ unique environments, and hold deep cultural significance, featuring prominently in traditional Hawaiian practices, medicine, and storytelling. However, many of these precious species are now endangered, threatened by invasive species, urban development, and the impacts of climate change.
